I decided to write on this topic due to the fact that, while many people may wish to sell their house, there are times in which one does not know how to begin the process. Making a mistake as to how you go about it can result in your home sitting on the market longer than necessary or, worse, a final price that is less than the actual value of your house. Failing to do so can result in your house spending too much time on the market or in your receiving less than the actual value. Fourth, knowing what to expect from the process will help to ensure that things go smoothly. Finally, knowing how to properly handle an offer can help to ensure that your transaction closes as opposed to having it fall through.
